Accounting: Divisional Controller

Job Location:  Corporate office just outside of Tacoma in Fife, Washington

Summary of Job Responsibilities:  

  • Manage construction accounting function for multiple divisions
  • Responsible for working with project teams to prepare cost to complete contract schedules  
  • Produce month end closing schedules and journal entries
  • Assist with preparation of monthly internal financial statements
  • Monitor and review account reconciliations and variance analyses
  • Prepare and present management reporting
  • Mitigate risks throughout the organization by monitoring internal controls
  • Plan and participate in budgeting/forecasting process
  • Effectively support cross-functional teams including inventory and contract management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required
  • CPA license preferred
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
  • Detail-oriented and strong follow-up skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills
  • Proficient in construction accounting software (Viewpoint/Spectrum) a plus 
  • Experience with cloud computing environments, virtual software a plus
  • Desire to grow and advance
